Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe took to social media to congratulate his former club Paris Saint-Germain after they sealed the Champions League title in his first year out of the
club. PSG thrashed Inter 5-0 at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, breaking a record for the biggest score in a final and securing the club’s first European trophy.
Mbappe, who ended a seven-season spell with Paris when his contract expired last summer, was unable to help Los Blancos progress to the quarter-finals but appeared to be watching the final at home.
“The big day has finally come, PSG won it and showed the class of the whole club. Congratulations,” the 26-year-old France captain posted on social media after the game.

Some fans noted that PSG were stronger without Mbappe, but star player Ousmane Dembele disagreed.
“Was the game easier without Mbappe? Not at all, with him in the team. “We could have been better,” Dembele said during a pre-match media briefing.
“Mbappe has followed his dream to play at Madrid, but with or without him, PSG has to move forward in their own way.”
